New York business funding looks nothing like the state's GDP table. Finance and insurance produced 21.8% of 2025 output, yet the owners who apply run delis, salons, grocers and trades. The state had 20,002,427 residents in the Vintage 2025 estimates, down 1.0% from 2020, and New York City holds 8,584,629 of them.

What happens after you apply?
One application, one file.
Send one application with your recent business bank statements. That gives us one file, instead of the same paperwork at every funder.
A person reads the file.
Revenue, existing positions, industry and time in business. If something is missing, we ask before anything goes out.
Sent only where it fits.
The file goes to funders whose stated criteria match it. It does not go to every name on a list, so your file is not sprayed around.
You compare and choose.
Offers come back with each funder's terms, side by side: amount, cost, term and payment structure. Accepting is your decision.

Which advance structures suit New York shops?
New York applicants are dense, card-heavy and often in leased storefronts with high rent.
The desk's read focuses on how much of each day's sales is already committed to rent, payroll and any existing advance, since that is what decides whether a New York file can take another pull.
New York grocers, delis and bodegas
New York has 18,667 food and beverage stores. Their deposits are high and steady but margins are thin, and many already carry an advance. A second-position offer is common here, and funders will want the existing pull shown clearly; see second position and convenience stores.
New York salons, barbers and nail studios
Personal care services number 15,230 in New York, 2.8% of establishments. Small tickets and card terminals suit a percentage-of-sales holdback, which slows down in a quiet week; the salons and spas page shows the arithmetic.
New York restaurants and bars
Food services and drinking places are 9.7% of New York establishments, above the 8.5% national share. High fixed rent makes stacked advances risky, and a file with two or three positions may be better served by a consolidation; the MCA consolidation page explains when that helps.
New York trades working in older buildings
Specialty trade contractors make up 5.7% of New York establishments. Renovation work in older housing stock often means long jobs with staged payments, so funders read the gap between invoices and deposits. The construction page covers that pattern.
What should New York owners know about state rules?
These states have commercial financing disclosure or registration rules. We will confirm in writing how they apply before any file moves.

New York questions
What does a New York advance cost a small shop?
The cost is the total repayment on each offer. New York grocers and delis often already carry an advance, so a new offer is judged on how much of daily sales is left after the current pull. Nothing is charged to apply.
Does a New York application trigger a credit check?
Ask how any credit review works before you sign. A funder quoting a small shop file in New York can walk you through its own steps.
When does a New York file see offers?
It varies by funder. New York files with high rent and tight margins can draw extra questions, and prompt answers to stip requests keep things moving. No timing is promised.
Can a New York bodega with two advances apply for a third?
It can apply. Only funders whose box accepts a third position will see it, and some may offer a consolidation that replaces the two current pulls with one.
Are New York City and upstate files read differently?
Not by rule. Funders read a New York file on its deposits, balances and positions wherever it sits. Rent levels differ, so a city file may show more of each day's sales already committed.
